SBC breaks their own moral code

According to the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention there are six principles for living within God’s Moral order. These principles according to the Southern Baptist Convention were outlined to stand in contrast to the new moral code they witnessed as prevalent in our world today.

They are six statements about the way life ought to be,
with Jesus at the center.

What are the principles of God’s moral order?

  1. To find yourself, discover the truth outside yourself, in Jesus.
  2. Loving others does not always mean staying silent.
  3. Joy is found not in pursuing our own desires but in giving or ourselves to bless others.
  4. The highest goal in life is giving glory to God.
  5. God gives people the freedom to believe whatever they want, but those beliefs always affect society.
  6. God designed boundaries for sex and sexuality in order for humans to flourish. [1]

Below I have outlined how the current administration and atmosphere of the Southern Baptist Convention have broken God’s Moral Order as stated by their own Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission.

How the Southern Baptist Convention has broken the principles of God’s moral order as outlined in their own Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission:

  1. To find yourself, discover the truth outside yourself, in Jesus.

The members of the Southern Baptist Convention have lost themselves in that they have attempted to discover the truth from within their own male physical nature with regard to gender roles and hierarchy.

They have taken their eyes off of the example given by the life of Jesus Christ on how one ought to live out the Christian life.

The result is that they have lost sight of Jesus and replaced Him with the image of man.
Man has become god.

In losing sight of themselves and Christ they have also lost sight of the Image Deo contained within the female and diverse ethnic forms of humanity both adult and child.

  1. Loving others does not always mean staying silent.

The Southern Baptist Convention through the continued and condoned illicit and immoral actions of their most prominent members and their protégées enforce that complete silence on matters of rape, abuse and various other methods immorality is the only way through which spiritual restoration and Christian love is to happen; matters which result in the harming and dehumanization of the Image Deo.

The Southern Baptist Convention is teaching that silence is Christian love.

The Southern Baptist Convention is teaching that enabling sin is a directive from God.

The SBC is teaching that enduring immorality is the duty of some and that the inflicting of said immorality is the God ordained directive of others.

  1. Joy is found not in pursuing our own desires but in giving or ourselves to bless others.

The Southern Baptist Convention through the promotion of only part of the body of Christ has sought to bless the male form of humanity.

a crow is not an eagle
The dehumanization of more than half of the body of Christ has resulted in self-promotion, sexual abuse, cover up and scandal by those being promoted.

The Southern Baptist Convention pursue the giving of themselves over to the blessing of themselves and those in their likeness. (i.e. male gender bias)

The result is the mortification of the female parts of the body of Christ; the result of such mortification will be seen in the additional mortification of children and ethnic groups. Evidence of such results is already witnessed in the body of Christ and society.

Prominent members of the Southern Baptist Convention and their protégées have sought joy, comfort and fulfillment through the pursuit of their own fleshly desires.

Christ has been denied rather than the self while the blessing of others has been denied in favor of the self.

  1. The highest goal in life is giving glory to God.

The Southern Baptist Convention as witnessed through the actions of their most prominent members, those in leadership roles and their protégées have made the highest goal in life to be the honoring of the desires of the flesh.

Through this they have given undue glory to the male form of humanity through the means of harming the female form of humanity along with the defenseless.

They have sought to acquire glory for themselves; glory due only to God.

Through this belief they are harming the body of Christ.

  1. God gives people the freedom to believe whatever they want, but those beliefs always affect society.

The Southern Baptist Convention through dictation of proper beliefs and roles for each gender have removed the gift of God ordained freedom of the individual to discover and follow Him authentically as guided by the Holy Spirit at work in their lives.

The Southern Baptist Convention has deemed any belief not in line with strict adherence to Southern Baptist Convention policy and statements of faith as sin, liberalism, ungodly forms of feminism and a desire to treat scripture without respect or dedication.

In spite of historical and current unresolved disagreements on key scriptures among learned Biblical scholars the Southern Baptist Convention has stated scripture to be unambiguously clear on their point.

These beliefs and roles were made doctrine in spite of the former denominational conflicting belief to the contrary which began to shift due through influence and secretive workings of a few male members in 1969 in a café in New Orleans; formal changes came in 2000.

The culmination of said secretive workings is seen in the new Baptist Faith and Message written to align with the new belief agenda.

Freedom of belief and clarity given through the Holy Spirit are only available to some and the “some” rule the “other.”

The result of such beliefs both personal and formal has led to the dehumanization of more than half of the body of Christ.
The image of man (i.e. male human form) has been promoted to a status of greater than God by making more than half of the body of Christ something less than the Image Deo as seen in the male form of humanity.

This new Southern Baptist Convention Image Deo results in two classes of humans contrary to Genesis 1:26-28, 5:1-2.

The Southern Baptist Convention has also given great disregard to the evidence of the affects that their beliefs as a denomination concerning the complete equality of purpose and representation of the image of God in both the female and male form along with the equality of ethnicities have had within the body of Christ.

The Southern Baptist Convention has denied their own culpability for the dehumanization of females, children, and ethnicities not only in the American culture but in every sphere in which their denomination has reach and influence.

If the Southern Baptist Convention is correct and our beliefs directly impact society then the effects of their beliefs upon society are clearly seen through increased violence, racial tension, sexual violence and immorality, abuses of every nature, human trafficking, resurgence of the condoning of slavery, self-indulgence, and God denying worldviews to name a few.

  1. God designed boundaries for sex and sexuality in order for humans to flourish.

Prominent members of and leaders within the Southern Baptist Convention who have engaged in illicit and immoral behavior alongside those within the Southern Baptist Convention who seek to protect said individuals from legal action and loss of respect and reputation have defied the God designed boundaries for sex and sexuality.

This has resulted in a severe denial of human flourishing for all those involved.

This lack of flourishing includes but is not limited to those upon whom these illicit acts were perpetrated.

As a result, these sexually immoral persons as outlined in scripture should be removed from the body which includes our fellowship and association with them even to the point of sharing a meal.

Said individuals should be delivered over to Satan for the destruction of their flesh in the hopes of saving their souls. 1 Cor. 5:1-13.

Instead the Southern Baptist Convention has chosen to protect and honor the sexually immoral among them.

This is a call to action for members of the Southern Baptist Convention:

It is time to remove the immoral from among you. This includes Paige Patterson and those he has protected from legal consequences for matters of rape, spousal abuse and child abuse.

It is time reparations were made by the Southern Baptist Convention to those who have been harmed by the protected immoral among you.

It is time Southern Baptists reverse the agenda to dismiss women from positions of leadership and disrespect within your convention, institutions of higher learning and your churches.

Evidence of repentance will be recognized in part through the existence of equal academic scholarship as well as vocational opportunities for women and all ethnicities in relation to said scholarship and vocational opportunities for men.

Evidence of repentance will be recognized in part through the equal appointment of women and all ethnicities to your boards, institutions of higher learning, churches and other governing bodies in relation to men serving in the areas.

Evidence of repentance will be recognized in part when women and all ethnicities have equal access to the same mentor opportunities as men in your midst.

Evidence of repentance will be recognized in part when jokes and degrading talk concerning females and ethnicities is no longer condoned or winked at among you.

A denial of responsibility in these matters will speak volumes to those waiting and watching. A denial will inform us that the Southern Baptist Convention wrote the Principles of God's Moral Order for others to follow but not themselves.

It will be understood by those watching that this will prove that the Southern Baptist Convention and its members consider themselves to be above God's Moral Code and in such an instance have proven themselves to believe they are above or in equal standing with God.

It should be noted by members of the Southern Baptist Convention that this is the same sin of pride Satan is guilty of and that an equal punishment awaits those who follow in his footsteps.
